Is there such a thing as biblical foods that heal?

Well, the different foods in the Bible are designed by God to give us the health we desire. This is why we need to understand what these foods in the Bible are and how they contribute to our health and healing.

And speaking of biblical foods that heal, some of you have wondered about these foods in the Bible and how they can help you achieve health. Here are this week’s Q&A questions that revolve around the topic of biblical foods that heal and foods in the Bible.

1.What do you think of Epsom salt for the bath? (Detective Halverson)

Salt is one of the foods in the Bible mentioned so many times in scripture. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N_th6K5aFxc&t=434s Aside from adding flavor to our foods, it can be added in for the bath, such as in the case of Epsom salt.

It can offer relaxation and rejuvenation to the body and ease our tensions.

2. Are eggs mentioned in the scripture? (Bianca Lawson)

The scripture mentions egg a few times. One is in Luke 11:12, and the other one is in Job 6:6.

3. Can you please tell me what is the best flour to use to make unleavened bread? (Tracy Gilbert)

Unleavened bread is one of the foods in the Bible that is also among my favorites to make. Any flour such as hard red, hard white, spelt or Kamut can be used to make unleavened bread. You can use einkorn or a blend of flours with buckwheat, rye, and so on. There is no limit to the type of flour to use!

4. Are dates really good in fiber as well? (Lisa Roberto)

Yes, definitely!

Dates are rich in fiber, which helps promote satiety, weight loss, regulate blood sugar levels, and so on. But fiber is not created equal. Not all fiber is the same.

You need diversity in your diet.

There are so many fiber benefits for the body such as the following:

1. Fiber releases different signals that stimulate the muscle activity of your gut wall.

2. It fuels the microbiome that helps to feed the good bacteria in your body.

3. Fiber also helps produce short-chain fatty acids, which help to suppress appetite.

4. Fiber helps to metabolize fat, thus allowing you to lose weight more efficiently.

Fiber is more than just giving you regular bowels. It is key to achieving healthy weight loss!

A diet high in fiber will help you reap all of these 5 amazing benefits that you need to obtain overall health, wellness, and weight loss… For good!

How much fiber per day should you consume?

And what are the best types of fiber sources should you take each day?

You need about 30 grams of fiber a day.

As for the food to eat, you need to consume more fruits and vegetables, healthy grains, and different plant fiber sources.

But most importantly, you need to be eating more fiber foods daily!

When you own 100 shares of any company you can sell covered calls on your position and collect a payment called a premium simply for selling that option. This premium is paid to you by the person on the other side of the trade who is buying that option. Now it’s called covered calls because your position is covered by the 100 shares that you own. You are putting up the shares as collateral for this trade in case the trade goes against you and you are forced to sell your shares- You must have a collateral of 100 shares for each 1 option contract that you sell. So let’s say you own 100 shares of a stock and decide you want to sell a covered call on the stock. Here’s what’s going to happen step by step. You pick a strike price and expiration date for the option that you want to sell. The strike price must be higher than the current price of the stock. This is called selling Out-Of-The-Money Calls.

Company X is trading at $50 right now. I decide I am going to sell covered calls on my position so the first thing I have to do is choose a strike price I don’t think the stock will reach by a certain date. Let’s say by next month I don’t think company X will reach $55 which would be a 10% increase for the stock. So I pick to sell an option with a strike price of $55 and an expiration date of 1 month out. Once I sell this option a few things will happen. First the brokerage will put aside the 100 shares that I own as collateral for the trade. These are still my shares but I just can’t do anything with them before I exit out of my options trade. Secondly, I will get paid a premium for selling this option paid to me by the option buyer. Now this premium is put into my account right away. In this case lets say the premium is $2. I will get paid $200 because remember 1 option contract controls 100 shares so we multiply the premium by 100 for each contract - so boom I get paid $200 into my trading account.

Now at this point 1 of 3 things can happen with the trade.
Scenario #1 - the stock price does not reach the strike price by expiration. (That’s good)
Scenario #2 - the stock price reaches and exceeds the strike price by expiration (That’s bad)
Scenario #3 - You decided to close your position before expiration by buying back the contract and closing the trade.

Can you lose money selling covered calls? if you own stock and already are in the profit on your stock position then you CANNOT lose money selling covered calls and waiting until expiration. The worst thing that will happen is you’ll lose your shares - not lose them but be forced to sell them at the strike price. You might feel like you lost money if your stock shoots up way past the strike price - and you are forced to sell at a lower price - but you only lost the chance to make that extra profit. Remember, you should always sell calls at strike prices above where you bought the stock because then you’ll always be in the profit and whether or not your shares get called away you’d still make money

Do you get to keep the premium if your shares get called away? Yes - the premium gets deposited into your trading account right away and is yours to keep because you did not have to buy the option back. The option will be exercised and you’ll lose your shares but get to keep the premium.

What happens with my collateral - so when you put up collateral you can’t do anything with the shares until the option position is closed. The shares will be released back to you the day after the option expires or right away if you close your position early. Once you have your collateral back you can go ahead and sell another call using the same collateral for the next week or the next month.

Will I have to pay taxes on the premium I collect? Yes, simple answer - just like any trade, if you make a profit you will be subject to the all mighty short term capital gains tax so you’ll definitely want to keep that in mind and plan for that.

What Did People Eat In Biblical Times

In biblical times, the diet of people was largely determined by the agricultural practices, climate, and available resources of the area. The diet was predominantly based on what could be grown, foraged, or raised locally. Here’s an overview of what people commonly ate:

Grains
Bread: Bread was a staple food and came in various forms. It was often made from barley or wheat flour. Unleavened bread (like matzah) was also common, particularly during religious observances such as Passover.
Porridge: Grains were also used to make porridge, which was a common meal.
Fruits and Vegetables
Fruits: Common fruits included figs, dates, grapes, pomegranates, olives, and apples. These were eaten fresh, dried, or made into products like wine and olive oil.
Vegetables: Vegetables like lentils, beans, onions, garlic, leeks, cucumbers, and melons were part of the diet.
Legumes
Lentils and beans: These were important sources of protein and were often cooked into stews.
Meat and Fish
Meat: Meat was not eaten daily but was reserved for special occasions, religious sacrifices, and hospitality. Common meats included lamb, goat, and beef.
Poultry: Chickens and doves were also consumed.
Fish: Fish was a common food for those living near bodies of water such as the Sea of Galilee.
Dairy
Milk and cheese: Milk, particularly from goats and sheep, was consumed fresh or turned into products like cheese and yogurt.

Nuts: Almonds and pistachios were available.
Seeds: Sesame seeds were used, particularly in making oils.

Various herbs and spices like mint, dill, cumin, coriander, and mustard were used to flavor food.
Preservation Methods

Salting: Meat and fish could be salted to extend their shelf life.
