You have the power to heal your gut with the best diet for gut health and weight loss. With just 7 steps, you can achieve gut health and mental health, feel great each day, and be your best self!

7 Steps to Heal Your Gut

1. Fasting

Since Ancient Biblical times, people have fasted. Fasting for gut health is very important as it resets your body and allows it to heal naturally.
There are different kinds of fasting such as the intermittent fasting, in which you fast for a few hours. A 12- to 14-hour fast period can be beneficial to your health. Also, you should avoid snacking at bedtime and loading up on sugar when you wake up.

2. Removing Inflammatory Foods

A good diet for gut health and weight loss includes grain, wheat, milk, soy, corn, among a few others. Get rid of these foods that cause inflammation. You can make your own wheat, however, which is healthier than store-bought ones. My favorite options include amaranth, spelt, and camut.

3. Sleeping

Get ample sleep each night. When you get better sleep, it helps balance your hormones and heal your gut.

4. Staying active

Your body is designed to move. You need to incorporate exercise in your daily routine. It does not need to be strenuous - just lead an active lifestyle and exercise (i.e. brisk walking, stretching, etc).

5. Eat gut-healing foods

What foods heal your gut? Yes, you can heal your gut with food! Some foods to include in your diet for gut health and weight loss include bone broth and glutamine, which are beneficial to your gut. Speaking of bone broth, did you know that you can make your own? In fact, making your own bone broth is a better option for controlling the quality of ingredients your body is getting.

6. Probiotics

Probiotics include beneficial bacteria that heal your gut. You can get probiotics from fermented food such as yogurt, pickles, kefir, kombucha, etc.

7. Prebiotics

Prebiotics are your fiber and short-chain fatty acids. Great sources of prebiotics are artichokes, onions, asparagus, garlic, and dandelion greens, among a few others.

By applying these simple changes in your diet for gut health and weight loss, a wholesome lifestyle, and routine, you can heal your gut naturally. 1. Shellfish
That’s right, shellfish can help the healing process. This includes a wide variety of really good foods. I’m talking about oysters, clams and mussels. Now they may not be your first choice on the menu. But if you’re at a restaurant where mussels and oysters are on the menu in the first place, you should probably give them a go. I mean how often do we get the opportunity...

2. Broccoli
This cruciferous veggie might be one that you cringe over. But it’s never too late to grow up and try it. Broccoli is one of the best foods you can eat when it comes to healing. I mean, think about all the nutrients you’re getting.

3. Organ Meats
Who doesn’t love some good organ meat? Well, a lot of people actually. Just the thought of eating organs is enough to make some of you check out. But to be honest, organ meat is some of the best food you can have. And oh yeah, it’s fantastic for healing!

4. Berries
I mean, if you’re wounded, how can you say no to berries? They’re already tough to resist when you’re healthy. Berries are loaded with antioxidants. Let’s talk about collagen for a second. Collagen is a very important protein that maintains your body’s tissues. I’m talking about the tissues of your skin, muscles, ligaments and tendons.

Eggs

Many of us eat eggs on a regular basis. But the question is, how many eggs are you eating in a serving? If you have a wound, you’ll want as much protein as you can get. Adults are recommended between 46 and 56 grams of protein per day. One large egg holds just over 6 grams.

Salmon

You can’t do a list about wound healing foods without including salmon somewhere on the list. Salmon is jam-packed with vitamins and minerals, none more notable than omega-3 fatty acids. Let’s get into those.

Omega-3 fatty acids enhance the response of your immune system, and reduce your inflammation. This prevents infection. If you’ve already been infected, you’ll be able to get over it quicker than usual. You also have selenium to brag about…

Sweet Potatoes

This is a favorite for so many people, including yours truly. Now seriously, who doesn’t love sweet potatoes? If you’re recovering from an injury, high carb foods like sweet potatoes will do you good. Carbohydrates provide your cells with the right energy to fight off an infection. The enzymes also help your wounds heal quicker.

Did you know that low carb intake is associated with slow healing of wounds? Now keep in mind, you want the good kind of carbs. That’s exactly what sweet potatoes offer.

I want to talk about something that might seem unconventional in the world of day trading, and that's how my faith in Jesus inspires my trading decisions. As a trader, I've come to realize that my faith is not just something I practice on Sundays, but it's something that infiltrates every aspect of my life, including my finances.

Day trading can be a high-stress profession, and it's easy to get caught up in the emotions of the market. Fear, greed, and uncertainty can drive our decisions, leading to impulsive choices that ultimately harm our bank accounts. Market volatility can be unpredictable, and even the most seasoned traders can find themselves caught off guard. It's easy to get anxious when the market is moving against us, and it's tempting to make reckless decisions in an attempt to recoup our losses. Furthermore, the pressure to perform can lead to burnout, causing us to question our abilities and second-guess our strategies. All these factors can lead to a toxic cycle of emotional decision-making, which is a recipe for disaster in the world of day trading. The reality is that our emotions can be our worst enemy when it comes to making trading decisions.

In addition to emotional turmoil, day traders often struggle with information overload. With the constant influx of market news, analysis, and opinions, it's easy to get bogged down in the minutiae and lose sight of the bigger picture. We can find ourselves constantly questioning our strategies, wondering if we're missing out on something better, or if we're just plain wrong. This uncertainty can lead to analysis paralysis, causing us to hesitate or make impulsive decisions. It's a delicate balance between being informed and being overwhelmed, and it's a struggle that many traders face.

But what if I told you that there's a way to break free from this cycle of emotional decision-making and information overload? For me, that way is through my faith in Jesus. By grounding my trading decisions in biblical principles, I've found a sense of calm and clarity that I never thought possible. It's not about relying on luck or chance; it's about making intentional, informed decisions that align with my values and principles.

One of the guiding principles in my trading philosophy is the importance of patience. As the Bible says in Psalm 27:14, "Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord." In a world that's driven by instant gratification, it's tempting to want to see immediate results. But I've learned that patience is key to making sound trading decisions. It's about trusting in the process, rather than relying on emotional impulses. Another principle that guides me is the importance of wisdom. Proverbs 3:5-6 says, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight." This wisdom has helped me to avoid getting caught up in the latest trading fads or speculative strategies. Instead, I focus on making informed decisions that are grounded in solid analysis and a deep understanding of the market.

I remember a pivotal moment in my trading journey when faith guided me to make a crucial decision. I had taken a large position in a stock that was performing well, but suddenly the market began to shift. My initial instinct was to panic and sell, but something inside of me told me to wait. I took a step back, prayed, and sought guidance. The next day, the stock continued to decline, but I held firm. It wasn't until a few days later, when the market stabilized, that I decided to exit my position. Looking back, I realize that my faith had given me the courage to hold on, even when my emotions were screaming at me to do otherwise. It was a valuable lesson in trusting in the process and having faith that everything would work out for good.

There have been many other moments like this in my trading journey, where my faith has guided me to make decisions that might seem counterintuitive, but ultimately led to positive outcomes. It's not about relying on some sort of mystical intuition; it's about trusting in a higher power that is greater than the market. For me, that higher power is Jesus, and I've seen firsthand how His teachings have positively influenced my trading decisions.

In conclusion, I want to leave you with the idea that faith and trading are not mutually exclusive. In fact, I believe that they can complement each other beautifully. By integrating our faith into our financial decisions, we can tap into a sense of calm, clarity, and wisdom that goes beyond our own understanding.
