What is the Bible diet food list?
Did you know that the Bible mentions several foods for us to eat?
The Bible diet is quite simple...
To achieve amazing health, you have to understand that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit. You need to feed it right with life-giving foods.
You should take care of it by feeding it with the right food, which will not only positively impact your physical body but also your mental and spiritual health.
For Christians, the act of caring for the body is an act of stewardship.
God has given you that body, and He expects you to feed it, give it rest, exercise it properly, and to grow in both the mind and the spirit.
Your body is designed to give glory to God because He owns it.
And by “feeding”, this means eating food as how God designed it to be consumed… Just like how our ancestors in the Bible ate.
Foods in the Bible was simpler, more wholesome, and void of harmful chemicals. People ate food according to God’s design.
There was no heavily processed, lab-made, and chemical-laden food back then. This is why the cell’s chemistry was never out of whack, allowing cells to repair themselves. As a result, health and healing occur right at the cellular level.
But it is not all about living longer. It’s mainly how to thrive in life, whether you are 50, 60, or in your 70s!
You want to feel good about yourself, enjoy every moment of your life and experience that blissful feeling of actually living, thriving, and not merely surviving!
When you feel great, you also radiate positivity. Your thoughts are more peaceful and calmer, your words are gentler, your actions are more sensible.
This is why healthy people are also happy people.
They don’t get into conflicts with others because they also don’t get into conflicts with themselves. Their minds are at peace and their bodies are at an optimal condition. This is what God wants for you - to achieve good health and to live according to His design.
So let us explore more about the life-giving wonders of the food in the Bible, which God has created for you to enjoy and feed your body to reap wonderful benefits for your health.

Leafy green vegetables have most of what you need for speedy healing.
Leafy green vegetables like spinach, kale, and mustard greens are packed with nutrients that reduce inflammation, improve immune function, and help wound healing—making them the go-to choice to promote recovery.

Eating oatmeal daily can help reduce the risk of developing type 2 diabetes and may even help manage your blood sugar levels. Oats contain a soluble fiber called beta-glucan, which supports your metabolic health.
Next on our list is an invaluable gift called blueberries.
Blueberries are nature's potent little gift to help manage inflammation in the body. They contain antioxidants called anthocyanins that can switch off inflammatory genes.

7 Steps to Heal Your Gut
1. Fasting
Since Ancient Biblical times, people have fasted. Fasting for gut health is very important as it resets your body and allows it to heal naturally.
There are different kinds of fasting such as the intermittent fasting, in which you fast for a few hours. A 12- to 14-hour fast period can be beneficial to your health. Also, you should avoid snacking at bedtime and loading up on sugar when you wake up.
2. Removing Inflammatory Foods
A good diet for gut health and weight loss includes grain, wheat, milk, soy, corn, among a few others. Get rid of these foods that cause inflammation. You can make your own wheat, however, which is healthier than store-bought ones. My favorite options include amaranth, spelt, and camut.
3. Sleeping
Get ample sleep each night. When you get better sleep, it helps balance your hormones and heal your gut.
4. Staying active
Your body is designed to move. You need to incorporate exercise in your daily routine. It does not need to be strenuous - just lead an active lifestyle and exercise (i.e. brisk walking, stretching, etc).
5. Eat gut-healing foods
What foods heal your gut? Yes, you can heal your gut with food! Some foods to include in your diet for gut health and weight loss include bone broth and glutamine, which are beneficial to your gut. Speaking of bone broth, did you know that you can make your own? In fact, making your own bone broth is a better option for controlling the quality of ingredients your body is getting.
6. Probiotics
Probiotics include beneficial bacteria that heal your gut. You can get probiotics from fermented food such as yogurt, pickles, kefir, kombucha, etc.
7. Prebiotics
Prebiotics are your fiber and short-chain fatty acids. Great sources of prebiotics are artichokes, onions, asparagus, garlic, and dandelion greens, among a few others.
By applying these simple changes in your diet for gut health and weight loss, a wholesome lifestyle, and routine, you can heal your gut naturally. Today on the podcast I have the pleasure of talking to Simon Mills, a complementary health pioneer from the inception of the term in 1979, and later in the fields of integrated health, selfcare and social prescription.
He graduated from University of Cambridge with a degree in medical sciences and has been a herbal practitioner in Exeter since 1977. He was Special Adviser to the House of Lords Select Committee 2000 report on Complementary and Alternative Medicine.
In 2016 he was appointed as Herbal Strategist at Pukka Herbs, leading new initiatives, clinical research, and most recently reducing antibiotic demand.
Within herbal medicine, he established the first Masters programme in the USA, writing seminal textbooks, and publishing research including randomised controlled clinical trials.
I never managed to source the herbs to support my liver prior to my stag party so I can’t attest to those! But I’ll be diving into www.herbalreality.com to see ways in which to increase the phytochemical diversity of my own diet.

That’s right, shellfish can help the healing process. This includes a wide variety of really good foods. I’m talking about oysters, clams and mussels. Now they may not be your first choice on the menu. But if you’re at a restaurant where mussels and oysters are on the menu in the first place, you should probably give them a go. I mean how often do we get the opportunity...
2. Broccoli
This cruciferous veggie might be one that you cringe over. But it’s never too late to grow up and try it. Broccoli is one of the best foods you can eat when it comes to healing. I mean, think about all the nutrients you’re getting.
3. Organ Meats
Who doesn’t love some good organ meat? Well, a lot of people actually. Just the thought of eating organs is enough to make some of you check out. But to be honest, organ meat is some of the best food you can have. And oh yeah, it’s fantastic for healing!
4. Berries
I mean, if you’re wounded, how can you say no to berries? They’re already tough to resist when you’re healthy. Berries are loaded with antioxidants. Let’s talk about collagen for a second. Collagen is a very important protein that maintains your body’s tissues. I’m talking about the tissues of your skin, muscles, ligaments and tendons.
Eggs
Many of us eat eggs on a regular basis. But the question is, how many eggs are you eating in a serving? If you have a wound, you’ll want as much protein as you can get. Adults are recommended between 46 and 56 grams of protein per day. One large egg holds just over 6 grams.
Salmon
You can’t do a list about wound healing foods without including salmon somewhere on the list. Salmon is jam-packed with vitamins and minerals, none more notable than omega-3 fatty acids. Let’s get into those.
Omega-3 fatty acids enhance the response of your immune system, and reduce your inflammation. This prevents infection. If you’ve already been infected, you’ll be able to get over it quicker than usual. You also have selenium to brag about…

One of the most requested videos and questions that you keep asking is about fatty liver disease and a liver cleanse. So that's what we're going to talk about today - how to do a liver detox and what are the best foods to heal your liver.
What is a one day view of doing a liver cleanse? What does it look like? What would it taste like? We're going to talk about it today. So today, I'm going to give you the top foods to eat in a 24 hour period to help your liver to do it's a natural thing which is to cleanse.
How To Do A Liver Detox - What Are The Best Foods To Heal The Liver
So for us to start our day with a really good liver cleanse, we want to take this lemon, we want to take it and just squeeze it into some fresh water. So starting your day with this is going to make such a difference. We want to help our liver to cleanse everything that has been processing the night before. Remember your liver never stops working for you.
Lemons and lime help to rebalance the pH throughout your entire digestive system, but they also help your liver to do a significant amount of cleansing. And just having this first thing before you eat anything else.
So if we were to look at a 24 hour period of doing a really good liver cleanse, green apples would be our next option. Green apples also along with some carrots would be a perfect breakfast. I know that seems odd to have carrots and apples for breakfast but it would work and it would be so stimulating to your liver. Now when we're talking carrots always go beyond just the regular I mean these would be great in your breakfast, you could saute them you could just read them and fresh with some apple.
But always remember parsnips are in the carrot family so they too would be very healthy for you to choose along with the carrots. So breakfast could be shredded apples and shredded carrots together in a nice crispy, delightful salad. Now moving on to lunch let's make another delicious salad that remembers we're doing a 24 hour liver detox or cleanse with all real foods.
So we've got beets but sweet potato and Brussels sprouts. So taking these brussels sprouts just washing them really well trim off the ends and then run them through a shredder. The same with the beets, peel them and shred them and the sweet potato peel it and shred it. Eat all of this raw in a salad and this is going to just be a huge burst of nutrition for your liver. Also the fiber in these foods so fiber reduces stress on the liver. Now each one of these foods could also be roasted if you're like I said I just can't do fresh even though that is going to be the highest nutritional value.

What Did People Eat In Biblical Times
In biblical times, the diet of people was largely determined by the agricultural practices, climate, and available resources of the area. The diet was predominantly based on what could be grown, foraged, or raised locally. Here’s an overview of what people commonly ate:
Grains
Bread: Bread was a staple food and came in various forms. It was often made from barley or wheat flour. Unleavened bread (like matzah) was also common, particularly during religious observances such as Passover.
Porridge: Grains were also used to make porridge, which was a common meal.
Fruits and Vegetables
Fruits: Common fruits included figs, dates, grapes, pomegranates, olives, and apples. These were eaten fresh, dried, or made into products like wine and olive oil.
Vegetables: Vegetables like lentils, beans, onions, garlic, leeks, cucumbers, and melons were part of the diet.
Legumes
Lentils and beans: These were important sources of protein and were often cooked into stews.
Meat and Fish

So today, we will talk about 2 fruits to fight cancer - lemon and grapefruit. These two fruits fight cancer in natural and effective ways.
To make this immune-boosting, cancer-fighting drink with these two fruits, we need not just the fruit but also the peelings.
We will make a citrus peel extract for these fruits to fight cancer, and yes, we’ll use the peeling. Simply add three cups of water to the peeling, but be sure to wash your fruits first really well with a veggie wash. Whether or not it’s organic, you still need to scrub your fruits really well since we are using the peelings.
To make this extract using fruits to fight cancer, we will put the peelings into a pot, add purified water, then boil it.
But it’s not just the peeling that you’ll need. You’ll also slice up the fruits and use the flesh, which you can add to your water or make some tea with hot water.
You can also put the juice into ice cube trays, freeze them, and put one out every morning for your early morning drink.
So there's a study on NIH, which is the National Institute for Health that came out in May in 2020. That study talked about just what we're doing, the nutritional benefit in the peeling of our citrus fruits. And in that study https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/32391511/ it showed that citrus peeling helps to prevent cancer.
If you remember, in one of my other videos, I talked about angiogenesis and how it affects the growth of blood vessels to a tumor. And when that tumor gets those blood vessels, it metastasizes throughout your entire body. Well, this juice, remember, we're going to drink two tablespoons twice a day, and it is going to help inhibit that tumor growth.
Now, whether you have cancer or do not have cancer, or don't know if you have cancer, most of us would not know because we aren't experiencing any symptoms. Now, unless you're doing the blood testing that I recommend, then you would have an early sign and realize that you need to take care of this right away.

Healthy weight gain is always dependent on gut health. You need to eat fruits and vegetables, especially root vegetables.
For healthy weight gain, I recommend increasing your protein intake and eating an additional healthy meal each day.

The more processed foods we eat, the more we will depend in medicine.
Gluten is not exactly the main cause of depression. Instead, it is an existing problem in your microbiome. The health of your microbiome determines the health of your body and mind.

We have been taught that food is love. That it can make you feel good.
But stuffing yourself with food does not comfort you or boost your self esteem. This is why you need to get rid of food addiction.
I was on the same boat but these 3 steps helped to set me free.
1. Give yourself credit for doing one thing that helps you get closer to your goal.
2. Do a beliefs download. Write down your beliefs on a piece of paper and question them. After all, every creation of God is beautiful. Love the body God has given you, love the person that God made you to be.
3. Believe that God's love for you is eternal. Nothing can separate you from God's love for you.
If you continue to make food your focus, then you continue to make food an addiction. So, focus on God's love for you and question those negative beliefs that you have trained yourself to believe.

2. Hello sister Annette, God bless you on this beautiful Saturday. I do have a question if you can, I wondered if it's safe for me to take a half a teaspoon of cod liver oil and added to that two tablespoons of grounded flaxseed and one tablespoon of sesame seed is that okay to take all at once in a smoothie please thank you.
It all depends on your digestion. If your body can handle that much fat, then you should go for it. However, I would do flaxseeds and sesame seeds together, then do cod liver oil separately.

Well, the different foods in the Bible are designed by God to give us the health we desire. This is why we need to understand what these foods in the Bible are and how they contribute to our health and healing.
And speaking of biblical foods that heal, some of you have wondered about these foods in the Bible and how they can help you achieve health. Here are this week’s Q&A questions that revolve around the topic of biblical foods that heal and foods in the Bible.
1.What do you think of Epsom salt for the bath? (Detective Halverson)
Salt is one of the foods in the Bible mentioned so many times in scripture. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N_th6K5aFxc&t=434s Aside from adding flavor to our foods, it can be added in for the bath, such as in the case of Epsom salt.
It can offer relaxation and rejuvenation to the body and ease our tensions.
2. Are eggs mentioned in the scripture? (Bianca Lawson)
The scripture mentions egg a few times. One is in Luke 11:12, and the other one is in Job 6:6.
3. Can you please tell me what is the best flour to use to make unleavened bread? (Tracy Gilbert)
Unleavened bread is one of the foods in the Bible that is also among my favorites to make. Any flour such as hard red, hard white, spelt or Kamut can be used to make unleavened bread. You can use einkorn or a blend of flours with buckwheat, rye, and so on. There is no limit to the type of flour to use!
4. Are dates really good in fiber as well? (Lisa Roberto)
Yes, definitely!
Dates are rich in fiber, which helps promote satiety, weight loss, regulate blood sugar levels, and so on. When God created humans, He didn't stop at just making them. He also made sure to create an amazing variety of trees, plants, and animals, providing everything necessary for their sustenance, and in abundance too!

Today's questions are all about healing foods in the Bible.
1. Is the biblical diet a good idea for those with digestive issues? - Mary
Now remember, the Bible diet is based on three principles. First one is to eat the foods that God called Good. Now when we go back into Genesis when he created and he said that is good, good in that language meant valuable and estimation, excellent of its kind. There is nothing, nothing, nothing, nothing a man can ever create in a lab or in the field that will ever compare or compete with what God has given us.
Principle number two, eat these foods as close to the way he designed them. So let's let man keep their lab experiments, you know, in the lab, and let's let God's foods be the primary food on our table.
Principle number three is don't let any food become an addiction. The foods that God created were based on Whole Foods, they're based on whole grains, nothing that's been tampered with or altered. When we eat whole foods, they're going to naturally give us pre and probiotics.
2. What are the best Bible foods for cardiac health? I have arrhythmia and would like to know how to power up the cardiovascular system? Lenore
So this is both spiritual as it is physical. And I've told you that in many other videos. Physically, eating foods that are high in vitamin C, such as vegetables and fruits are the first step in healing the heart. Next, we move into foods that are high in vitamin E, which includes freshly milled whole grains. Then we move into healthy fats which are omega three rich foods like salmon, eggs, avocados, flax seeds, very healthy fats, they're essential for a healthy heart.
3. How can the Bible help me to stop binge eating? Lauren
The Bible has God's truth in it and you are fearfully and wonderfully made. Then you are opening the greatest health book ever written, ever written. I personally believe every word in this book is true. 100% true. That means I don't need food for love. His Word says I am fearfully and wonderfully made.
4. What biblical foods can you give for beautiful skin? - Angelia
Water, healthy fats, water, high fiber, water, lots of fresh organic vegetables and fruits and water. That pretty well sums it up. Okay, so water, every cell in your body needs water. So you can imagine your skin can be a raisin or it can be a nice plump plum. Which do you want to look like? When my mom was dealing with cancer, I'm like mom, you've always wanted beautiful skin. So you need to drink water.

In Deuteronomy there are two specific examples of this grace for us to learn.
Deuteronomy 8 has the words of Moses where he retells everything God had done. Moses didn't want the people to forget the journey and therefore squander the promises.
He wanted their attention. He needed to give last minute reminders.
Imagine Moses shares these words with you. You’ve never seen the food he’s describing. Never tasted these delicacies. But yet they must be good because at the end he says when you’ve eaten and are satisfied you’ll praise the Lord your God for the good land which he has given you.
The first way he shows us his grace is in his provisions of 7 specific foods.
For the Lord your God is bringing you into a good land—a land with brooks, streams, and deep springs gushing out into the valleys and hills; a land with wheat and barley, vines and fig trees, pomegranates, olive oil and honey; a land where bread will not be scarce and you will lack nothing; a land where the rocks are iron and you can dig copper out of the hills.
When you have eaten and are satisfied, praise the Lord your God for the good land he has given you. Deuteronomy 8:7-10
After years of wandering, God delighted the tastes of the Israelites with a delicious banquet. Food from orchards they didn’t plant. Ground they didn’t turnover.
